It was blue skies for the staff at Ocean Palms Elementary School during this year’s Staff Appreciation Week, where they were recognized for being “plane” awesome, according to a recent release. This week-long event featured food, prizes and fun for everyone who works at the school, a recent release stated.
On Monday, the staff fueled up for the journey with a coffee and bagel breakfast, noted a recent release. Tuesday brought a pit stop complete with a Jersey Mike’s lunch, and Wednesday the staff was given an in-flight breakfast treat, a recent release explained. Thursday was a final-approach feast featuring Sierra Grille, and Friday consisted of a sweet send-off with Millie’s ice cream, the release noted.
The staff members were also recognized with daily prizes, gift cards for all and a special e-card from the families at the school, per a recent release. Organizers noted it was a proverbial 30,000-foot journey worth taking, a recent release added.
