Blueberry season is underway across the Big Bend, and several area farms are welcoming visitors who want to pick their own fresh berries.

Residents looking for a family-friendly outdoor activity have multiple options within a short drive of Tallahassee, with farms offering U-Pick blueberries throughout June and, in some cases, into July.

Sienna Lee Gardens

Located at 6591 Proctor Road in northeast Tallahassee, Sienna Lee Gardens has announced that its U-Pick blueberry season will continue through mid-July.

The farm is open Wednesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with additional evening hours on Fridays from 5 to 8 p.m. Blueberries are available for U-Pick at $9 per pound.

Jubilee Orchards

Jubilee Orchards, located at 12008 Miccosukee Road, continues to offer U-Pick blueberries and remains a popular destination for local berry pickers.

Visitors are encouraged to contact the farm before traveling to confirm current picking conditions and hours, as availability can vary based on weather and crop conditions.

Green Meadows Farm

About 30 minutes east of Tallahassee in Monticello, Green Meadows Farm has opened for the 2026 blueberry season.

The farm is currently offering U-Pick blueberries on Fridays and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The operation has become a favorite destination for families seeking a day trip during blueberry season.

Blue Acres Berries

Located near Sneads, Blue Acres Berries also offers U-Pick blueberries during the growing season.

Because hours and berry availability can change quickly, visitors should call ahead before making the drive.

Plan ahead

Farm operators recommend checking weather conditions and contacting farms before visiting, as picking schedules may change depending on crop availability and field conditions.

Many farms encourage guests to bring sunscreen, water and comfortable footwear. Some provide containers for picking, while others allow visitors to bring their own.

Blueberry season in North Florida typically runs from late April through June, with some farms remaining open into July depending on berry production and weather conditions.
