The St. Johns County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller’s Office welcomes Brittany Percell as its new chief financial officer, bringing more than 11 years of local government and public finance experience to the office’s executive leadership team.

Patty. “Brittany brings extensive experience in local government finance, and I’m confident her leadership will strengthen our team as we continue delivering the high level of financial support and transparency St. Johns County residents expect.”
“I also want to thank Dwala Anderson for her service as CFO over the past six years and her continued service as deputy CFO. While I was saddened when Dwala asked to take a step back earlier this year, I admire her commitment to the office, our residents and our mission. I look forward to continuing to work with her and our great comptroller team.”
Percell brings more than 11 years of municipal finance experience to the Clerk and Comptroller’s Office, with a background in accounting, budgeting and local government operations. She most recently served as director of finance for the City of Atlantic Beach, where she began as an accountant in 2015 before moving into leadership roles as deputy director of finance and director of finance.
As chief financial officer, Percell will oversee all financial operations for the Clerk and Comptroller’s Office, including BCC Finance and Clerk Finance, and lead a team of 17 finance clerks.
Percell holds a Master of Accountancy from Rutgers University, a Master of Business Administration from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of North Florida.
