Jamie Mackey has been named Rotarian of the Year by the Rotary Club of Bartram Trail – Julington Creek, recognizing years of leadership in the club and service to the broader St. Johns County community.

Mackey joined the club in 2008 and has served in several leadership roles, including as club president in 2010-11. Fellow Rotarians credited him with helping strengthen membership, support emerging leaders and keep the club engaged in local service projects.

His community involvement also includes work with the Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County. After hearing a presentation from the organization at a Rotary meeting, Mackey became involved and joined its Board of Directors in late 2022. Drawing on his background in civil engineering, he has supported campus infrastructure and facility expansion efforts and currently serves as vice president and secretary of the board.

Mackey and his wife, Trish, have been married for 35 years and have two adult children. The couple lives in Nocatee and enjoys pickleball, travel and boating.

The award reflects Mackey’s long-standing commitment to Rotary’s tradition of Service Above Self and his continued contributions to local nonprofit work.
