Looking for a way to keep your child engaged and active this summer? The Williams Family YMCA offers a wide variety of Specialty Camps designed to inspire creativity, build confidence and introduce children to new interests while making lifelong memories.

Held Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon, the Williams Family YMCA’s Specialty Camps provide children with hands-on experiences in a safe, welcoming environment led by caring instructors who are passionate about helping kids discover new talents. Members and non-members can sign up for the fun!

Camp offerings include:

  • Tennis Camps: Learn the fundamentals of tennis while developing coordination, sportsmanship and confidence on the court.
  • Y Goes to Med School: A unique camp that introduces children to the exciting world of medicine through interactive activities, anatomy lessons, first aid and hands-on exploration of healthcare careers.
  • Culinary Camp: Young chefs will discover kitchen safety, nutrition and cooking techniques while creating recipes they can recreate at home.
  • LEGO Builders Camp: Creativity comes to life as campers build imaginative structures and solve engineering challenges through collaborative projects.
  • Robotics Camp: Campers can explore the world of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) by designing, building and programming robots through engaging activities.

Unlike traditional summer camps, the Williams Family YMCA’s Specialty Camps allow children to dive deeper into subjects they love while developing teamwork, critical thinking and leadership skills.

“Our goal is to provide experiences that help children discover their passions while having fun in a supportive environment,” said Julie Pickard, Family Programming Coordinator at Williams Family YMCA. “Whether they’re learning a new sport, creating a robot or discovering how the human body works, every camper leaves with new skills and greater confidence.”

Parents are encouraged to register early, as camp sizes are intentionally kept small to provide a quality experience for every participant.
