Katrine Strickland has enjoyed living in the Nocatee community of Ponte Vedra for the past five years, with her husband of eight years, Ryan, and their two young children. Originally from Miami, Fla., Katrine Strickland moved to this area after attending the University of Florida. She earned her degree in public relations and gained experience through several organizations. An entrepreneur, Strickland is anxiously awaiting the launch of her digital memory book app, Soulments. She has volunteered much of her time to St. Johns CARES Kids over the past year and was the co-chair of the successful Nocatee Kids Farmers Market. <\/span><\/p>\n

  1. What do you enjoy most about living in Ponte Vedra?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    My family and I love being outdoors, and Ponte Vedra has so much to offer that we gravitate towards. <\/span><\/p>\n

    1. What inspired you to create your app, Soulments?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      It stems from being a mom and having so many pictures and videos in my phone. The app lets you build a digital memory book for those of us who just don\u2019t have as much time to sit down and create a book from scratch. The app will allow parents to get custom reminders and give them an easy way to mark milestones for baby books, among many other features. <\/span><\/p>\n

      1. Do you have any upcoming goals for your work with the St. Johns CARES organization?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        I would like to help get the word out about all the great things we are doing. We want to inspire and recruit others to help and become more involved. It\u2019s also important to get more kids involved in giving back to their community. <\/span><\/p>\n

        1. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          I love to paddle board. My husband and I are triathlon competitors, so we swim, bike and run. We also love to travel. I have family in Germany and Norway, so traveling overseas is ingrained in me. I always like to have our next trip on the horizon; especially now, having kids, there is no better teacher than traveling. <\/span><\/p>\n

          1. Where would you most like to travel on an upcoming trip?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Africa, Spain or a Mediterranean cruise. We are National Park people too. We try to visit one each year, so I\u2019d like to check another one off the list soon. <\/span><\/p>\n
