Greenland Pines Elementary held an exciting Career Day on Feb. 21, bringing together students, parents, and professionals from various fields to inspire and educate the young minds about future career possibilities, with the help of countless volunteers, school staff and administration, and the Greenland Pines PTA. The event provided students with a unique opportunity to explore different professions and gain valuable insights into the working world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greenland Pines\u2019 Career Day featured a diverse lineup of guest speakers, including a local news station meteorologist, representatives from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department, the United States military, pharmacists, software developers, engineers, and many more. These professionals shared their experiences and offered advice to the students, with many showcasing the amazing vehicles and tools they use in their everyday work lives. Interactive sessions and hands-on activities allowed the children to engage directly with the professionals, to ask questions, and even try out some of the tools and equipment used in different jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parents and community members played a crucial role in the event, volunteering their time and expertise to make the day memorable for all students in the school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
